Today was more than just a tree planting exercise, it was a powerful moment of unity, learning, and hope. Our enthusiastic learners, alongside committed community members, joined hands with Wire Forest Management Association - Wifoma CFA and the Kenya Forest Service Wire Station in Kasipul Sub County Homabay County, to receive and plant over 3,000 forest tree seedlings.
From eager young hands placing seedlings into the soil to experienced community members guiding the process, every moment reflected a shared commitment to environmental conservation. ๐ŸŒณ
These trees represent more than growth; they symbolize our collective responsibility to protect our environment, restore our forests, and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.
Together, we plant. Together, we protect. Together, we grow.

Over the past two days, we took part in an Outcome Harvesting workshop as a member of the Lake Region Food System Network - LRFSN. The session strengthened our advocacy on the Right to Food, as guaranteed under Article 43 of the Kenyan Constitution.
We are grateful to Tisa Kenya for the rich insights and practical learning, especially around promoting social accountability among all stakeholders. Together, we continue to push for systems that protect and uphold the right to food for all.

In partnership with the local administration, school community, and area residents, our team led by the Deputy Director of Programs, joined Kenyans across the country in celebrating World Environment Day.

As part of the event, we donated and planted over 500 indigenous and fruit tree seedlings, while also guiding participants on proper tree care and maintenance to ensure long-term survival and impact.

Together, we remain committed to promoting environmental conservation and building a greener, more sustainable future. ๐ŸŒฑ

โ€ŽIn Mtondia, Kilifi, nearly half the population lives below the poverty line. Many girls face barriers to education, with only 4 in 10 making it to secondary school; teenage pregnancies being a major obstacle.

โ€ŽWe are supporting 20 caregivers by providing local goats and cross-breeding them with exotic bucks for stronger, higher-yield offspring. This means more milk, faster growth, and better disease resistance, helping families earn more and keep their daughters in school.
