Avid-international AVID is an active international humanitarian organization AVID is an active national humanitarian organization in Somalia.

Established in 2003, it’s officially registered with the TFG authority in Hiran, Bay and Bakool regions of Somalia. The organization has its head office in Nairobi and was as initially founded by a group of Somali philanthropists as a network to pool resources to respond to the effect of droughts and conflicts related problems including displacement and livelihoods disruptions. It has since establ

ished itself as a credible partner with local international stakeholders to implement humanitarian operations in Somalia. AVID builds its work with rural and urban communities on principles of sustainable development in the following secretors; Protection, Psychosocial Support, Education, Peace building, human rights & democratization, Health and Environmental with advocacy as a cross-cutting issue.
