‎🌍 MEGA WORLD CLEANUP DAY: ACTION THAT SPEAKS. Last Friday, Darren Hart Foundation brought together 100+ volunteers for a major environmental action in Lang’ata Southlands.
‎Together, we:
‎🗑️ Recovered approximately 10 tonnes of waste
‎🌱 Planted 70 fruit tree seedlings 35 at Uhuru Gardens Primary and 35 at Ngei Primary
‎🗑️ Donated quality waste bins to Uhuru Gardens Primary, Ngei Primary and PEFA Church
‎🌿 Worked alongside environmental clubs in both schools to strengthen environmental stewardship.
‎
‎This was more than a cleanup. It was community action, environmental education and humanitarian service coming together. We are grateful to our partner NTT DATA for supporting this impactful initiative. 🤝
‎
‎Darren Hart Foundation is committed to growing this work across communities in Kenya and beyond and we welcome volunteers, organizations, companies and partners who want to build with us.

Touching Lives Beyond the Moment.
‎Over the weekend, the Darren Hart Foundation, in partnership with One Acre Fund, visited Sidon Children’s Home in Zimmerman, Nairobi. We came with food, stationery and other essentials but we knew from the beginning that the greatest gift we could give was not something we could carry in a vehicle.
‎
‎It was our time, our presence and our willingness to connect. Together with our volunteers and supporters, we cooked and shared a meal with the children, played together, mentored them, listened to them, encouraged them, washed their laundry and celebrated the September birthdays together by cutting a cake.
‎
‎It was more than an outreach. It was a reminder that sometimes changing a life begins with something as simple as 'showing up'. At the Darren Hart Foundation, we intentionally seek out children's homes and communities where support is genuinely needed, not only through material assistance but through mentorship, dignity, friendship and meaningful human connection.
‎
‎The smiles, conversations, laughter and moments shared at Sidon are difficult to put into words. To every volunteer who gave their time, every supporter who contributed and One Acre Fund for partnering with us, thank you. This is the kind of impact we want to continue building: rooted in Kenya, driven by people and growing to touch lives across the world. 🌍
