Last week, we went deep into the villages of Machakos to mobilize learners for the DDCN Program ahead of our third cohort, which will be delivered through the DigiTruck in Machakos. 🚐💻
Beyond mobilization, the visit was about connection — engaging with the community, listening to their lived experiences, and understanding the real challenges they face in accessing digital skills training opportunities.
We met determined individuals who are eager to learn and transform their lives, despite facing significant resource and access barriers. Their resilience and willingness to show up for opportunities was truly inspiring.
As we prepare for the upcoming cohort, these field experiences continue to shape how we design and deliver more inclusive and impactful training programs.
They remind us of one simple truth — talent is everywhere, but opportunity must be taken closer to the people.”

Day 4 of the DDCN Bootcamp was all about hands-on learning 💻🔧

Our learners explored **DNS and DHCP configuration using Packet Tracer**, gaining practical skills in network setup and management. They also got to work with real tools, practicing **cable crimping** to understand the physical side of network deployment.

It’s exciting to see participants not just learning theory, but actively building the skills needed to design and deploy networks in their communities.
