Sadly, despite commitments to destock Israeli products, is continuing to fund the shameful violence and cruelty of colonial war and genocidal aggression with its sale, marketing and proud display of these Israeli apartheid products on its supermarket shelves.

By Zucchini's own admission, the sale of these goods are providing direct material support to a criminal army and its bloody handiwork in Gaza and beyond. Why? Kenyan consumers are not blind and we see this clearly.

We call on our supporters across to photograph and share evidence of this complicity wherever we find it. Meanwhile, has serious questions to answer as to why they are continuing to profit from and help fund these crimes, more than a week after agreeing to eliminate apartheid products from their supply chain.

Heeding the call of Palestinian civil society through the global BDS Movement, we ask to bring their product sourcing in line with international ethics and human rights standards, to stop their funding of ’s devastating war on ’s civilian population, and to divest from institutions that are profiting from or providing material support for their colonial domination and dispossession under the apartheid regime.

Dear Zucchini,

Over the last three decades, Zucchini has been a great resource in our communities; the diversity of fresh fruit and vegetables, groceries, as well as
ready-to-eat products has made shopping here pleasurable.

As customers who have enjoyed this for years, it is important for us to point out where we feel Zucchini disappoints. In this regard, against the ongoing genocide of Palestinians, a result of 75 years of occupation, we feel it is absolutely necessary that Zucchini plays its part in not supporting an apartheid regime.

What do we mean by this? Currently, Zucchini stocks a significant number of goods made by Israeli companies in Occupied Palestine, and products from
Israeli registered companies whose taxes fund the apartheid system. These include Eliad Olive Oil, Achva Tahini, Baraka Group za’atar and paprika, among others.

As concerned customers, we call on Zucchini to stand on the right side of history by choosing to stop stocking products that uphold an apartheid regime. In doing so, Zucchini will comply with international humans rights standards and continue to make shipping here a pleasurable and apartheid-free experience.

As a tireless revolutionary and legendary pan-Africanist, Sankara was resolute in his support of the Palestinian struggle against Zionist settler-colonialism.

Sankara understood that internationalist solidarity with Palestine from Africa should come not from a place of charitable pity for a faraway oppressed people, but rather be rooted in the shared bonds of common struggle towards a collective liberation.
