Hagar and Ishmael in the Wilderness🌊

Hagar was an Egyptian servant of Sarah, Abraham’s wife. After Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham and Hagar conceived Ishmael, conflict arose between the two women. Eventually, Abraham sent Hagar and Ishmael into the wilderness with bread and water. Genesis 16; 21:8–21

When their water was finished, Hagar became desperate. She placed Ishmael under a bush and moved away because she could not bear to watch her son die. She began to weep. But God heard the boy crying and sent an angel to comfort Hagar, telling her not to be afraid.

God then opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well of water nearby. She gave Ishmael water, and God remained with the boy as he grew. Hagar’s story reminds us that God sees the suffering of people who feel forgotten and can provide a way forward even in the wilderness.

God is faithful you've made it.
