On 29th September 2026, the JICE Headquarters team joined the recently graduated JDS 4th Batch fellows for a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Kenya in Japan. The fellows have successfully completed their master’s programmes at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Hiroshima University, and Toyo University. H.E. Ambassador Moi Lemoshira warmly received the delegation.

The Embassy also extended special recognition to Ms. Esther Kemunto Anyona, who received the Award for Best Dissertation for the 2026 Cohort of Hiroshima University. As the graduates return home, we wish them every success in applying their knowledge and expertise to support Kenya’s development and strengthen public service. Congratulations to the JDS 4th Batch graduates on this outstanding achievement!

Our JDS 6th Batch fellows participated in the post-arrival orientation and briefings. They learned among other things the Japanese culture and ways of living. Studying in Japan offers a thrilling blend of world-class education and rich cultural immersion that sparks curiosity and growth. We eagerly anticipate the accomplishments of the JDS 6th Batch!

On 8th September 2026, the JDS 6th Batch Fellows together with JICE staff paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Kenya in Japan, ahead of their academic journey in Japan. The delegation was received by H.E. Ambassador Moi Lemoshira, accompanied by Embassy staff.

Wishing all the fellows the best of luck as they explore Japan in search of new chances, experiences, and knowledge! Kudos to the JDS 6th Batch Fellows!🎓🇰🇪🇯🇵

Over the weekend, the 6th Batch JDS Fellows departed for Japan. It was a heartfelt farewell as they said goodbye to their families, filled with emotion and excitement for the new journey ahead.

A new chapter begins in Japan as they begin their Master’s journey! We wish them success as they learn, connect, and grow into future leaders.

The new JDS 6th Batch Fellows paid a courtesy visit to the State Department for Public Service & Human Capital Development (SDPS), Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development & Special Programmes where they engaged with SDPS officials ahead of their academic journey in Japan. SDPS warmly congratulated the fellows and wished them success as they embark on this exciting new chapter.
