🧮 Kipepeo Safe Space 4th Maths Contest! 🎉

On 8th August 2026, we brought together children and young adults from Grade 6 to Form 4 at St. Monica Catholic School, Kware, for a day of Mathematics, teamwork, and fun!

Beyond the individual tests, participants took part in team challenges and Maths games in groups, putting their problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork skills to the test. 🤝🧠

The contest was prepared and coordinated by our university volunteers through the Kipepeo Study Nest Program, where they support children and young adults with their studies.

🏆 Top 3 in each category were awarded:
🥇 1st – Branded Kipepeo Safe Space T-shirt
🥈 2nd – Wristwatch
🥉 3rd – Mathematical set

🧮 Maths Contest is Back! 🎉

After our annual Maths Contest in March, the children and young adults had one request: "Can we have another one!"

Who are we to deny them? 😄

This Saturday, 8th August, we'll once again be putting problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking to the test in a fun and exciting Maths Contest. We can't wait to see our participants challenge themselves, learn together, and discover that maths can be both engaging and enjoyable.

On 31st May 2026, we held our second Upgraded Young Men & Boys Session, facilitated by Sawa Wellness. The session focused on emotional intelligence in young men and was highly interactive and engaging.

The session brought together our pre-university students and boys in Junior Secondary School, creating a valuable opportunity for learning, reflection, and peer interaction. Participants explored topics such as understanding emotions, self-awareness, healthy expression of feelings, and positive relationships.

We are encouraged by the positive response and look forward to continuing these conversations through our monthly sessions. The next Upgraded Young Men & Boys Session will be held on 20th June 2026. We welcome all interested young men and boys to join us.

Today in our 3rd session, —in collaboration with Kipepeo Safe Space—continued working with our second cohort of young people, using applied STEM to tackle real quality-of-life challenges. Through curiosity, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving, we’re creating space for young people to use what they already know to design solutions that impact their own communities.” ✨🧠🔬
