We're heading to Hyderabad🎤🤖

Meet KAMARED - Kamahuha Girls Team, representing Kenya at the WRO STEM Entrepreneur Program.

Their project, Heritage AI, is a robotic solution AI powered designed to make cultural heritage education more engaging and interactive. Addressing the limitations of mainly passive approaches such as printed materials, static displays, convectional presentations and traditional guided tours.

Before reaching the pitch stage, the team completed the WRO STEM Entrepreneur Program certificate on WRO Learn
as part of their preparation.

Now it’s time to take their idea to the next level and present it in front of industry experts.

STEM session at Nova Girls focused on reviewing the parts of the LEGO SPIKE Prime kit, followed by building and programming an automated barrier gate. The learners also explored how to use the ultrasonic sensor to detect objects and control the gate, strengthening their practical skills in robotics, coding and problem-solving.

Our STEM Bootcamp at Potterhouse School, held from 13th–24th July 2026, introduced learners to the exciting world of coding and robotics using VEX 123, VEX IQ, LEGO SPIKE and Scratch.

Through interactive, hands-on experiences, learners built confidence, developed problem-solving skills and discovered that technology is not just something they use, it's something they can create.

The Educators Program in Kibera and Kangemi has come to a successful close after weeks of inspiring exploration, creativity and hands-on learning through Scratch programming and robotics.

Throughout the program, 30 learners in Kibera explored Renewable Energy, discovering how technology can contribute to a more sustainable future. At the same time, 28 learners in Kangemi examined Sources of Heat, bringing scientific concepts to life through coding, robotics and collaborative problem-solving.

Each session encouraged learners to think critically, work together and transform ideas into innovative solutions. The program concluded with a comprehensive assessment on 18th July 2026, where participants showcased the remarkable progress they had made throughout their STEM journey.

Together, we are creating learning spaces where young people are empowered to imagine, create and lead with confidence.

A snippet of our ongoing Educators Program taking place at Kangemi Resource Center in Kangemi and Raila Educational Center in Kibera has brought students in the neighbouring areas for a robotics and coding progam.

At Kangemi Resource Center, learners are exploring robotics through VEXcode VR, building VEX GO robots and advancing into SPIKE coding. Meanwhile, at Raila Educational Center in Kibera, participants are developing their robotics skills with EV3, progressing from understanding robot components and basic movements to hands-on programming.

One program, two learning hubs and countless learners being empowered with the skills to inspire the next generation of innovators.

After an intense showcase of innovation, strategy and robotic excellence, the champions of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Kenya Nationals 2026 have been crowned. Under the theme “Robots Meet Culture,” teams from across the country competed in a thrilling display of creativity, teamwork and technological innovation across the RoboMission and Future Innovators categories.

WRO Kenya Nationals 2026 | Day 2: The Final Battle

The excitement continued on 27th June 2026 at Nova Pioneer Tatu City as teams entered the final day of the WRO Kenya Nationals 2026 under the theme of Robots Meet Culture.

With champions on the line, teams competed for the top spot as the Surprise Rule Challenge was introduced across all RoboMission categories ; Elementary, Junior and Senior. The challenge tested their adaptability, strategy and innovation as they pushed their robots to new limits.

A thrilling finale celebrating creativity, teamwork, and the future of STEM innovation in Kenya.
