Our partnership with HAART Kenya continues and goes beyond, strengthening community awareness on human trafficking and child trafficking as a key prevention measure. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support from HAART Kenya in creating awareness and combating human trafficking. Within just one week, we successfully hosted 2 community workshops and 2 First Responder trainings in Mukuru Viwandani.
These efforts are not only strengthening community awareness and response to human trafficking but also contributing to mental wellbeing and resilience within our community.

Sinai Unified Organization, in partnership with HAART Kenya , successfully reached 75 children from Mukuru Viwandani and Mukuru Kwa Njenga. The children were sensitized on human trafficking, child trafficking, and health awareness, with a focus on prevention, safety, and knowing where to seek help.

Together, we continue to empower children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves from trafficking and other forms of exploitation.

Yesterday, 7th August 2026, we were privileged to host the Makadara Sub-County TB Champions Strategy Meeting at our office. We focused on strategies to engage men at high risk of TB and DR-TB.

We appreciate Joyce Ngeytune, Program Officer, Network of TB Champions Kenya, for joining and contributing to the meeting.

Today, we were privileged to attend the Mental Health Financing Advocacy Coalition Progress Review Meeting at the Royal Tulip Hotel, Nairobi, as coalition members, with support from HERAF.

Mental health remains a critical issue in Kenya that requires greater awareness, stronger advocacy, and increased financing to address existing gaps and improve access to quality mental health services.

Today, our Programs Officer, Sarah, together with our Communications and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer, Lucas, and the TUGLOW CEO Scholar, participated in the Makadara Sub-County Mental Health Customer Service, Complaints and Grievances Redress Charter Dissemination Meeting held at Jimlizer Hotel.

The meeting brought together representatives from Jericho Health Centre, Lunga Lunga Health Centre, and Makadara Hospital to strengthen awareness and implementation of customer service standards and effective complaints and grievances redress mechanisms within mental health services.

This important engagement was supported by HERAF and reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to improving accountability, responsiveness, and the quality of mental health care services in Makadara Sub-County.
