Happy Father's Day from the Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative (DRMHI)

Today, we celebrate the fathers, father figures, mentors, and caregivers whose love, guidance, and unwavering support help shape healthier families and stronger communities.

A father's impact goes beyond providing; it is found in the conversations that build confidence, the encouragement that inspires resilience, the protection that fosters safety, and the presence that nurtures emotional well-being.

At DRMHI, we believe that every child deserves to grow up in an environment where they feel heard, valued, and supported; both offline and in the digital world. Fathers play a vital role in promoting positive mental health, encouraging healthy digital habits, and raising children who are confident, compassionate, and responsible.

As we celebrate today, we also remind fathers that caring for your own mental well-being is just as important. Seeking support, expressing emotions, and prioritizing self-care are signs of strength that create a lasting positive impact on your family.

To every father making a difference through love, patience, and leadership.......thank you for all that you do.

Happy Father's Day! Together, let's build stronger minds, safer digital spaces, and healthier communities.

Mental health affects how we think, feel, cope with stress, and connect with others. Yet many people struggle in silence every day.

These challenges affect not only our well-being but also our relationships, productivity, and quality of life.

Your voice matters. By sharing your thoughts, you're helping to create a more supportive, informed, and compassionate community.

INTERNATIONAL REFUGEE DAY 2026

Healing Beyond Displacement: Mental Health Matters

On this International Refugee Day, Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative (DRMHI) stands in solidarity with refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement.

While displacement often takes away homes, livelihoods, and social networks, it can also leave deep emotional and psychological scars. Many refugees and displaced persons face anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, and uncertainty about the future, yet access to mental health support remains limited.

At DRMHI, we recognize that mental well-being is a fundamental human right. Every individual deserves access to safe spaces, psychosocial support, accurate information, and the opportunity to heal and rebuild their lives with dignity.

Today, we call on governments, humanitarian actors, communities, and individuals to prioritize mental health as an essential part of refugee protection and support.

Let us choose compassion over stigma, inclusion over discrimination, and hope over despair.

Because every refugee deserves not only safety—but also the chance to heal, thrive, and belong.

💚 Mental health is a human right. Refugees deserve support, dignity, and hope.

Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria! 🇳🇬

Today, June 12, we celebrate the power of voice, choice, and collective hope.

At DRMHI, we believe true democracy protects both our digital rights and our mental wellbeing.

A free society is one where every citizen can speak safely, access information freely, and live without fear for their mental health.

From all of us at Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative (DRMHI), we reaffirm our commitment to a Nigeria where rights are respected online and offline.

Beyond menstrual hygiene, we showed up for conversations that truly matter. 🤍

The DRMHI Borno State Team engaged women and girls in Maisandari Ward, MMC, Maiduguri, through community awareness sessions on mental health, women’s health, care, dignity, and well-being.

At DRMHI, our work is not just about awareness; it is about building relationships, creating safe spaces, engaging communities, and providing support where it is needed most.

Real impact starts with community. ✨
