This Easter, we chose to do something different… ❤️
Not just celebrations, but showing love where it’s needed most.
On 5th April 2026, RIQ Foundation will be visiting a children’s home in Machakos to share a day full of love, care, and hope.
We’ll be bringing food, school supplies, sanitary towels, beddings and most importantly, our time. We’ll cook together, clean, laugh, and remind these kids that they are seen, valued, and loved. 🥹

Participants also shared powerful insights on how we can better manage waste and protect our environment. Many emphasized the importance of proper waste disposal, reducing plastic use, and taking personal responsibility in maintaining not only John Michuki Memorial Park, but also the Nairobi River and surrounding areas.
A key message that stood out was that real change begins at home. Simple daily actions — like separating waste, reusing materials, and avoiding littering — can collectively lead to a cleaner and healthier environment.
There was a shared understanding that preserving our public spaces is not a one-day effort, but a continuous responsibility that requires commitment from each one of us.

Last weekend on Saturday, we had the privilege of partnering with Team Sisi kwa Sisi during the Safisha Jiji initiative. While many participants spread out across different parts of the city, we chose to focus our efforts on one important space — John Michuki Memorial Park.
As part of our commitment to Climate Action, one of the five key focus areas of Riq Foundation, we proudly showed up to care for the environment and contribute to keeping our city clean and healthy. It was inspiring to see people come together with a shared purpose: protecting the spaces that belong to all of us.
Moments like these remind us that meaningful change begins with simple, collective actions. When communities unite for a common cause, the impact goes far beyond the day’s activity — it strengthens our responsibility toward nature and future generations.
