Violence isn’t just physical - it can live in silence, exclusion, economic hardship and more and more, online. As we mark this campaign; We call for safe digital spaces where refugee girls and women can access information, services and community without fear. As we step into international Human Rights Day, we remind us that activism is not a moment, it is the daily work of communities refusing to be erased. Because for us, human rights don’t pause at the border.
Because safety, respect, and belonging are for everyone now and always.

We’re proud to partner with FreeFrom on the launch of A World Free from Violence: Global Strategies for Building Economic Security for Survivors.

We are 1 of 22 survivor-led organizations across 19 countries showcased in this project for our innovative, survivor-led approach to building economic security. We already know what’s possible when survivors lead the way: economic security that makes violence no longer inevitable.

This project shows that the solutions already exist – what’s needed is greater alignment, investments, and collective action. By learning from each other, working together, and coordinating strategies, we can act as a unified global movement against violence.

"In moments of disruption, refugee communities didn’t wait. They stepped forward: offering what they had: a place to sleep, a meal, a shoulder to lean on, someone to simply listen. The needs weren’t new- but the response came not from institutions, but from neighbors, friends, peer networks. What many would call “informal” systems turned out to be deeply organized, deeply human systems of care, trust and responsibility. This isn’t just about surviving- it’s about a shift in how people see themselves and each other: not as recipients of help, but as givers of it. As designers of community, not just members."
