Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO), through its National Chairperson, Mrs. Rahab Mwikali Muiu, HSC, extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H., President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, following his State of the Nation Address delivered on 30th July 2026. MYWO commends the President for articulating a clear roadmap for Kenya's development that builds on the gains of Vision 2030 while positioning the country to contribute to the aspirations of the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063. As one of the civil society organizations consulted by His Excellency, MYWO appreciates the opportunity to contribute to this important national conversation/dialogue. We believe that meaningful engagement between Government and civil society strengthens democratic governance and ensures that the voices of women and communities are heard. Earlier today, MYWO @70 Mbao Sacco Chairperson, Mrs. Rahab Muiu, HSC, chaired a SACCO Management Committee meeting at MYWO Boardroom. The meeting brought together the Sacco's executive team, including Vice Chairperson Mrs. Sally Kosgei (MYWO County Chair Nandi), Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Mayieka, and Treasurer Madam Happy Gloria Akhayalu Committee Members in attendance were Isabella Ndolo, Edith Nduati, and Cowan Chuchu, while Mrs. Susan Owino and Madam Selina Chepkiror (MYWO county Chair west Pokot) joined the meeting virtually.

MYWO continues to empower women across the country by improving access to water and creating opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. Today, the Demala Women Group from Nyatike Sub-County, Migori County, received their water tanks through MYWO National Water Harvesting Project in partnership with Equity Bank. This collaboration enables women to access affordable financing to purchase water tanks. Beneficiaries are also equipped with essential digital skills, entrepreneurship training, and financial literacy, empowering them to build resilient and sustainable livelihoods. Representing MYWO National Chairperson Mrs. Rahab Muiu, HSC at the event were the National Secretary and the National Treasurer. Representatives from Equity Bank and MYWO leadership led by the County Chair were present.

Day Two of MYWO Clean Energy Drinking Water Solutions Training in Machakos County, Mavoko Sub-County, Kinanie Ward. The training continues to equip participants with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in water purification using the SAWA CAN an innovative, solar-powered solution that harnesses the sun's energy to purify water, providing communities with a sustainable and safe source of clean drinking water.

Today MYWO National Chairperson Mrs. Rahab Muiu, HSC has led a successful training of MYWO Clean Energy Drinking Water Solutions at Mavoko Machakos County. The training had brought together 300 MYWO leaders and members from Mavoko Sub-County. The training was being hosted by Madam Damaris Chair Muthwani Ward. Accompanying the National Chairperson from the National office were, National Vice Secretary Happy Gloria, MYWO CEO Isabella Ndolo and Senior Accountant Cowan Chuchu.
