🏆🏆 NAIROBI WOMEN PEACE TOURNAMENT – NAIROBI WEST REGION ⚽️🕊️

Community Relations Foundation (CRF) is delighted to celebrate the successful conclusion of the Nairobi Women Peace Tournament – Nairobi West Region, held yesterday at Ndurarua Stadium.

The tournament brought together women from five constituencies: Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, Lang’ata, Kibra, and Westlands, using the power of football to promote peace, unity, women’s empowerment, and community cohesion.

🏆 CONGRATULATIONS TO DAGORETTI NORTH!

Dagoretti North Constituency emerged as the Nairobi West Region champions after defeating Dagoretti South in a thrilling final that was decided through a penalty shootout.

🔥 A MASSIVE TURNOUT!

Ndurarua Stadium was filled to capacity, with over 10,000 people turning up to witness and support the tournament. The overwhelming attendance was a powerful demonstration of the community’s passion for women’s football and its commitment to peace and unity.

🌟 HONOURED TO HAVE OUR CHIEF GUEST

We were deeply honoured to have Ms. Anne Wang’ombe, Principal Secretary, State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action, as our Chief Guest.

Her presence and support added great value to the tournament and reinforced the importance of investing in women, promoting gender equality, and using sports as a platform for empowerment, peace, and community development.

As Community Relations Foundation, we are proud to have provided a platform where women from different communities could come together, compete, build friendships, and send a strong message that sports can be a powerful tool for peace and social transformation.

We sincerely appreciate all the participating teams, players, coaches, match officials, volunteers, partners, community leaders, supporters, our Chief Guest, and the thousands of residents who made the tournament a tremendous success.

On behalf of the Community Relations Foundation, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who made yesterday’s Mother’s Day Football Tournament a great success.

The tournament brought together 6 outstanding teams from across Dagoretti North and attracted over 6,000 fans and spectators, demonstrating the power of sports in uniting our communities and celebrating our mothers.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participating teams, supporters, volunteers, organizers, partners, security personnel, and every community member who showed up to support this special event. Your energy, discipline, and unity made the day memorable and impactful.

Special recognition goes to all mothers for their invaluable role in our families and society. This tournament was dedicated to honoring and celebrating you.

As Community Relations Foundation, we remain committed to empowering communities, promoting peace, nurturing talents, and creating platforms that bring people together through sports and social engagement.

Today marked a significant milestone at the Community Relations Foundation as we successfully launched the Amani Daima Peace Program 🕊️—a timely initiative focused on strengthening unity, coexistence, and peaceful participation as we approach the General Election.

Kawangware and many informal settlements have historically been identified as hotspots during election periods, with past experiences of post-election violence. It is therefore our shared responsibility to take proactive steps in promoting peace and preventing conflict before it arises.

In collaboration with the Office of the DCC, Dagoretti North Subcounty, we will be rolling out a series of public barazas to engage the community, create awareness, and encourage peaceful coexistence. This will culminate in a major Caravan Peace Walk scheduled for 30th April 2026—bringing together residents, leaders, and stakeholders in a unified call for peace. All are welcome to be part of this important movement.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the CRF Women for their unwavering commitment to advancing peace, love, and unity 🤝. Special thanks to Nairobi Recyclers for facilitating an impactful peace-building session, KCB Kawangware Branch for their valued partnership, and the Kawangware Landowners Chairman together with the Inspector of Police for their continued support.

Together, let us stand united and committed to building a peaceful, safe, and harmonious society for all .

As we close the year, we return all thanks to God for His many blessings. Since our establishment in 2019, we have grown step-by-step, and 2025 has been a testament to that progress. 🚀
🏆 2025 Milestones:

International Taekwondo Glory: Our U-15 team represented our nation in Angola, bringing home two Silver Medals! 🥈🥋
The Ghetto Run (3rd Edition): A successful marathon in November that brought our community together in the spirit of resilience. 🏃‍♂️💨
Kick Away Drug Abuse & Crime: A powerful 2nd edition of our football tournament, steering our youth toward a brighter path. ⚽🚫
Women Empowerment Initiative: This year, we successfully integrated Women Empowerment as a core pillar in our mission. By involving women in every stage of our mentorship, we are strengthening our fight against crime and drug abuse through the hands that raise the next generation. 👩‍👧‍👦✨
