Last week, John , our secretary at One Chance Fund, reached out to some of our students in our scholarship program. With the ongoing rains, he wanted to make sure they were safe. It was heartbreaking to hear that many of them, living in the Kibera slums, were hit hard by the ongoing floods. Homes were washed away, properties destroyed and they're struggling to find food and other essentials.

As an NGO, we're like a family, and when one of our own is in need, we rally together. So, we turned to WhatsApp for help, and the response was truly heartwarming. Our initial goal was to raise Ksh. 80,000 ( $600 ) - to provide food for 20 of the most affected students in the next three weeks. MET has announced the rain will reduce by mid May. I'm thrilled to say we've already raised Ksh. 44,500 ( $330 ) ! That leaves us with Ksh. 35,500 or $270 to go.

We understand times are tough for everyone, but if you have a little extra to spare, it could mean the world to these students. Just Ksh. 35,500 more will help us reach our target, and we can make sure these families have food for the next three weeks.

If you would love to support this initiative, please check the first comment for payment details. Thank you for considering, and may blessings come your way for your kindness and compassion.

Today is International Men's Day. We celebrate the 35 boys we support through education support, personal carepacks and mentorship. Our mission is to make their lives better and let these boys know they are appreciated.

This year's theme is "zero male suicides" - shining a light on the mental health struggles faced by many men and boys. We want all men to know that it's brave to ask for help. Our community is here for them.

At One Chance Fund, we provide scholarships, school supplies, hygiene products, and mentorship. But most importantly, we provide a support system. Our boys have people rooting for their success and wellbeing.

Today, let's take action for men's mental health and celebrate the boys in our community. Share stories and advice using . Reach out to the men and boys in your life and remind them they matter. Small gestures can make a big difference.

Today is an exciting day for One Chance Fund and 15 of our high school students! This group is the second cohort from our program who are sitting for their KCSE national exams, a crucial step in continuing their higher education. We are so proud of how hard these students have worked and how far they've come. Many of them will be the first in their families to graduate high school and head to college or university.

None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors and donors who make One Chance Fund's mission of providing education access to disadvantaged youth a reality. It is thanks to you that these students have fully paid tuition fees, academic trips and have access to the basic needs a student need while in school. Your contributions give them the one chance they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

As our students sit for their KCSE exams over the next few days, please keep them in your thoughts and wish them the very best of luck. We are hopeful that they will all pass with flying colors! Thank you for being part of their journey!
