In Kenya, an estimated 2.6 million school-aged girls require support to obtain sanitary products. We received testimonials from girls and women that they would use rags, paper, old pieces of mattress, sit on dirt, and use other unsanitary items to manage their menstrual cycle. A large percentage of women in the world are unable to afford period products.
