🔋The journey to sustainable mobility begins with empowering the people who will make it happen...This conversation on the role of human capital in the e-mobility transition is long overdue, but as they say, "better late than never." At the heart of this shift lies a critical element: Human Capital. 🚗💡🌍

🚀 As we envision a mass transition to electric vehicles, the demand for skilled professionals is set to soar. However, this transition presents a unique set of challenges in terms of workforce readiness. 🔍Understanding the importance of human capital in this transition means exploring our existing workforce, identifying critical skill gaps, and outlining strategies to bridge these gaps. While the current workforce forms a valuable foundation, there is an urgent need for up-skilling and re-skilling programs across the entire EV supply chain ⚡skills, non-skills, and infrastructure alike.🛠️📚

🤝 This requires a multi-pronged approach, involving close collaboration between government, industry, stakeholders, and academia. Integrating e-mobility training programs into our technical and vocational institutions is essential. Join us in this comprehensive skill gap analysis strategy workshop and be at the center of this transformative conversation. Together, we can shape the future of e-mobility in Kenya. 🌟

🚀 Exciting Times Ahead for Kenya’s E-Mobility Sector! 🚀

We're excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with the University of Nairobi, the Educators Foundation of Eastern Africa, and AfricaNEV. As part of our commitment to advancing Kenya's e-mobility sector, we’re launching a critical project focused on building local technical capacity and developing skills across the e-mobility supply chain and local value chain. With the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions, it's vital that we address a key, often overlooked, factor: human capital. While infrastructure, policy, and capital flows receive much attention, the talent demand and supply dynamics within the e-mobility sector must be equally prioritized.

The Draft National E-Mobility Policy, as outlined by the Task Force in Chapter 4, underscores a critical need: enhancing local technical capacity and skills across the e-mobility supply chain and local value chain. This isn't just a policy—it’s a call to action for fostering technological competence, ensuring safety, reliability, and supporting sustainable development. 📈💡

To address this urgent need, we’re organizing a roundtable workshop that will bring together key stakeholders in the e-mobility sector. Our discussions will focus on evaluating the current workforce, pinpointing essential skill gaps, and formulating strategic steps to bridge these gaps. This is a crucial step in building a strong talent pipeline that will drive Kenya’s transition to electric vehicles and position us as a competitive player in the global e-mobility landscape. We invite all industry players, stakeholders, academicians, and government officials to join this important conversation and contribute to shaping the future of e-mobility in Kenya.
