We're excited to announce a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with the University of Nairobi, the Educators Foundation of Eastern Africa, and AfricaNEV. As part of our commitment to advancing Kenya's e-mobility sector, we’re launching a critical project focused on building local technical capacity and developing skills across the e-mobility supply chain and local value chain. With the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions, it's vital that we address a key, often overlooked, factor: human capital. While infrastructure, policy, and capital flows receive much attention, the talent demand and supply dynamics within the e-mobility sector must be equally prioritized.

The Draft National E-Mobility Policy, as outlined by the Task Force in Chapter 4, underscores a critical need: enhancing local technical capacity and skills across the e-mobility supply chain and local value chain. This isn't just a policy—it’s a call to action for fostering technological competence, ensuring safety, reliability, and supporting sustainable development. 📈💡

To address this urgent need, we’re organizing a roundtable workshop that will bring together key stakeholders in the e-mobility sector. Our discussions will focus on evaluating the current workforce, pinpointing essential skill gaps, and formulating strategic steps to bridge these gaps. This is a crucial step in building a strong talent pipeline that will drive Kenya’s transition to electric vehicles and position us as a competitive player in the global e-mobility landscape.
