Join us in prayer:

* Back to School: We pray for all children returning for the new term, for focus, protection, good health, and a positive learning environment.
* Transition to College: We pray for those joining college, for clarity, direction, provision, and the right support systems.
* Seeking Employment: We pray for those looking for jobs, that God will open the right doors and guide them into opportunities aligned with His purpose.

We trust God for His guidance, provision, and covering over every step this month.

We praise God for the Kieni West Baptist Youth Camp held from 14th–17th April, bringing together 120 teens. We rejoice that 6 young people gave their lives to Christ during the camp.

We celebrate Ps. Patrick and Stephen, together with the Kieni West Baptist Youth Leadership, for their faithful coordination of planning, training, implementation, and resourcing.

The camp reflects a strong partnership between LEFTI and Camps Abroad, working alongside the Kieni West Baptist Churches, and stands as a testimony of local leadership, ownership, and sustainable ministry impact.

We are also grateful that more camps are planned this year in Samburu, Kaputie, and Limuru, with continued coaching and support from the Kieni West Baptist Churches team in partnership with LEFTI and Camps Abroad.

We give God all the glory for this growing mission and the opportunity to reach and disciple the next generation.

Last week’s Pastors’ Wives School session was a rich and refreshing time of learning, growth, and fellowship

These sessions are so important; ,they equip, encourage, and strengthen pastors’ wives for their unique role while also building community and shared growth, both spiritually and practically.

We covered New Testament studies, Introduction to Baptist distinctives, and a practical cooking craft session, with Richard Embwaga and Bernard Kabaru graciously facilitating some sessions.

Another beautiful highlight from the camp...

In the midst of all the busyness, Ella Watson quietly lifted hearts with music and worship, and suddenly the whole atmosphere shifted.

Some of the most powerful moments from the camp were quietly witnessing members from the team pause to pray for the sick, right there, in the middle of everything.

There was something so meaningful about that intentionality, taking time to minister not just to physical needs, but to the heart and spirit as well. Truly a reminder of the power of prayer and God’s presence in every moment.

3-Day Medical Camp in Maralal, Samburu County

Last week, over 500 people were ministered to, body, soul, and spirit during our free 3-day medical camp

With 50+ pastors from ABC, pastors from Samburu churches, a team of Samburu translators, and a committed medical team, we witnessed healing, salvation, and transformation. This return to Maralal, after our last camp in 2019, was truly special.

People from different tribes, languages, and races came together for the glory of God. Patients were treated, prayed for, and many opened their hearts to the Gospel. Above all, 12 individuals gave their lives to Christ, a beautiful testament to God’s presence and the power of prayer.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Grace Church SC, for the partnership, and to all who were praying for us during the camp, your obedience is changing lives for eternity!

Our OVC students are back in school after their midterm break, and we’re grateful they had time to rest and recharge.

During the break, we held debrief sessions across our OVC centers where the students shared about the new school year; new grades, new schools, and for some, boarding school for the very first time. It was encouraging to hear their highs and lows and to see that they are in good health and transitioning well.

We were also blessed to have Ella and Charley join our Limuru and Koinonia debriefs, where they shared their school experiences and testimonies of God’s faithfulness.

⚽ Bellevue Football Club; More Than a Game

Bellevue Football Club is more than just football; it’s a space where men in our community find belonging, encouragement, and purpose. Through the game, lives are being transformed, faith is being nurtured, and men are learning to choose community, mentorship, and growth over isolation and pressure.

Thanks to our partners, AAF for coming alongside the vision, the team received:
• A first aid kit
• Referee fees
• Team transportation

These aren’t just supplies, they are investments in mentorship, faith, and lasting impact. Every match played, every training session, and every conversation on the field is a chance for men to grow, support one another, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

We’re excited to welcome Ella and Charley, who will be spending the next 6 weeks in Kenya serving alongside LEFTI! 🇰🇪

During their time with us, they will be assisting teachers at Happy Day Academy, engaging with children in our OVC programs, and serving in our upcoming medical camp. Ella will be sharing her love for music and teaching guitar, while Charley will be launching a fun Space Club to engage students in space knowledge and creative activities.

Both have a heart for children and come with valuable experience from church and childcare programs. They look forward to serving alongside other believers and growing deeper in their faith throughout this journey.

We’re excited to see how God works through them over these six weeks and the impact on the children and families they will serve. 💛 Please join us in welcoming them and keeping them in your prayers!

Meet Gachoki 🎓

Gachoki is the youngest of nine siblings. She loves God and technology, and is known for her resilience and bold spirit.

Gachoki joined the OVC Care and Formation Program in 2014 while at Happy Day Academy, and after 12 years of faithful support from our partners, Grace Church SC, she has graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in information technology; all made possible by God’s grace.

We are deeply grateful to the family who have supported her and been a true blessing on her journey. We also rejoice in witnessing Gachoki’s growth and transformation as she continues to step into the person God has called her to be.
