Sweden-Mutomo Projects International (SMPI) initiated discussions with the Kitui Ministry of Health and Sanitation on a proposed partnership aimed at strengthening family planning and reproductive health services in the county. The discussions took place during a courtesy meeting with the County Health Management Team (CHMT).

The meeting provided an opportunity for SMPI to introduce its proposed project, outline its objectives and planned activities, and engage the CHMT on how the initiative can complement the county’s health priorities.

The proposed project seeks to improve access to family planning services in the target area through interventions that support informed reproductive health choices and strengthen community based health services.

The partnership is expected to contribute to improved access to quality family planning services for residents of Mutomo/Kibwea Ward while supporting the Ministry’s broader goal of enhancing maternal and reproductive health outcomes across Kitui County.
