A big thank you to everyone who supported last night’s Charity Bingo The Cottage Inn!

Although turnout was small we had a great evening and raised £258. Thank you all!

Special thanks to Matthew for the venue, Bill the Bingo caller, our amazing friends and family for their continued support, and local Pembrokeshire businesses for donating such lovely prizes.

With fewer people the chances of winning were higher and there were lots of happy winners!

Thanks again everyone. Keep an eye out for our next event as we’d love to see more of you there!

A little update: The Little by Little matching funds ran out, which means hundreds of generous supporters stepped up to make a difference!

Even without matching, your donation helps provide free education to children who would otherwise be denied access to education. The campaign is still running and will end early hours tomorrow.

On International Women’s Day we celebrate the strength, courage and dreams of our girls. Too many still face barriers created by poverty and old ideas about what girls should or should not become. But we see every day that education changes this story.

At Roko 20 girls are finding their voices, growing in confidence and discovering their talents. When a girl is given the chance to learn, she gains choices and hope for her future and when we educate a girl, we help change families, communities and the world.

From Soil to School Bowls 🍠

​Today was harvest day at school! We gathered 27kg of fresh sweet potatoes, which is more than enough to cover us for the week—with even more still waiting in the ground.

​Every morning, we serve 68 learners a nutritious breakfast of porridge and sweet potatoes.

Growing our own food has been a massive relief for our feeding program budget and a great lesson for the students.

On my way home after the best month at Roko 20 Academy. It’s humbling to see how much good work Job Thuo Macharia is doing with the support of all the staff.

By far Job is the heart of Roko 20. He works relentlessly to ensure the well being of the community’s children and to provide the best education possible.

You are an in an incredible human being.
