A simple gift that will be used every day.

One of our wonderful volunteers donated new plastic sliders for our pupils.

These practical sandals are ideal for use around the dormitories and shower areas, helping to keep little feet clean, comfortable and protected. It’s a simple item that many of us take for granted, but one that will make a real difference to the children’s daily lives.

The smiles on their faces say it all! 😊

A huge thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your thoughtful gift is already being put to good use and is greatly appreciated by everyone at Roko 20 Academy.

A Legacy of Community Spirit ❤️

At 100 years old, Martha is still caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We have known Shosho (Grandmother) Martha since 2014, when Roko 20 Academy first sponsored three of her grandchildren to attend Roko 20 Academy.

Despite facing many challenges and receiving little support herself she has always found ways to give back.

As a member of our Elderly Ladies Group, Martha receives beans and maize seeds to plant before each rainy season. Yet, year after year, she chooses to share part of her harvest with the children at Roko 20 Academy.

Her generosity is a powerful reminder that giving isn't about having plenty it's about having a kind heart.

Through her actions, Martha teaches our children lessons in kindness, resilience and community that no classroom ever could.

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Thank you, Shosho Martha, for showing us what true community spirit looks like. ❤️

Great Weekend News from Roko 20!

We’re delighted to share some wonderful achievements from our students this weekend:

Nancy, Grade 10 was recognised for her neatness and resilience.

Immaculate, Form 3 was recognised for her excellent academic improvement. She also had the opportunity to visit Zetech University to explore future career options.

Flavia, Grade 1 won a silver medal in the national chess qualifiers and has now qualified for the National Championships this August.

What an amazing achievement!

Thank you to everyone who sponsors, donates and supports Roko 20. Your kindness is helping these children grow in confidence, achieve their goals and build brighter futures. ❤️

Learning came to life for our Grade 4–6 pupils this week with a visit to the Murang’a County Assembly! 🏛️

As part of their Social Studies lessons, the children explored how Kenya’s devolved system of government works, seeing first-hand how local decisions are made and how county government serves the community.

Experiences like these help turn classroom learning into real-world understanding, inspiring curiosity and confidence in our pupils.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports our school. Your generosity makes enriching educational opportunities like this possible, giving our children experiences that will stay with them long after the lesson has ended. 💚

A huge thank you to all the wonderful ladies of Neyland Ladies Choir for your continued support of Roko 20 Academy.

The concert, performed along with & District Male Voice Choir, was a fantastic evening filled with beautiful harmonies and a wonderful atmosphere.

I am incredibly grateful for the amazing £800 raised which will make a real difference to the children at Roko 20 Academy.

Thank you also to everyone who came along and supported the event. It means so much to see the community getting behind the charity year after year.

And a special thank you to Jonny Mzungu Sutton for collecting the cheque on my behalf, with Ledley making sure everything was done properly (and no biscuits were overlooked!).

Your kindness, friendship and support are truly appreciated. ❤️🎶🇰🇪

A huge thank you to the Neyland Ladies Choir and the Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir for such a wonderful performance last night in aid of Roko 20.

There was a fantastic turnout and the voices were absolutely amazing. Everyone who attended had a truly enjoyable evening.

A special thank you as well to Jonny Mzungu Sutton our board member and three time volunteer at the school, who gave a heartfelt presentation beforehand explaining more about the work of the charity and the difference your support makes.

It was a great evening and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who came along, performed, supported and helped raise much needed funds for Roko 20.

Thank you all so much!
