On 25th July, we planted 2,000 mangrove seedlings at Mtwapa Creek in partnership with the Kenya Forest Service, together with Green Ledgers, Mombasa Climate Space, and IEBC Mombasa.
This wasn't just a tree planting exercise.
It was a response to a growing crisis.
As climate change accelerates, our coastlines face rising sea levels, stronger storms, erosion, biodiversity loss, declining fish populations, and shrinking livelihoods for coastal communities.
Mangroves stand on the front line. They capture and store carbon far more efficiently than many terrestrial forests, protect our shores, nurture marine life, and strengthen the resilience of entire ecosystems.
Every mangrove we planted is a quiet act of climate justice a reminder that restoring nature is one of the smartest investments we can make for our future.
The climate crisis is here. The question is: What are we planting today that future generations will thank us for?

In 2024, Pals in action started as a simple conversation among friends.
We shared one vision to see positive change in our communities Instead of just talking about the challenges around us, we chose to act.
We sat down, defined our goals, and began the journey toward registration. Along the way, more friends joined us, people who believed in the same mission and wanted to be part of the change.
Today, Pals in action is growing into a movement driven by purpose, unity, and action.
What started as friendship has become impact. And we are just getting started. 🌱
