On 22nd June 2026, we hosted the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) SWIFT team, led by Investment Analyst David Mbau, along with Baus Taka’s Business Advisor, Joel Owuor, for an enterprise monitoring and support visit.

The visit allowed us to review our post-programme progress, discuss our growth journey, and explore the next phase of scaling Baus Taka’s impact.

We thank KCIC, through the SWIFT Programme, for supporting climate innovators across Kenya, and we look forward to deepening this collaboration as we expand our solutions and reach.

Collectively, we aim to accelerate sustainable impact and invite partners and stakeholders to join us in driving the future of circular economy innovation.

On 19th February 2026, we had the privilege of hosting students from the Semester at Sea programme at the Baus Taka Eco-Circular Hub, following the docking of the MV World Odyssey in Mombasa 🌍

1 professor and 11 international students joined us for an immersive session exploring:

♻️ Tech-driven plastic waste segregation & traceability
🌊 Combating marine plastic pollution through data & incentives
👩🏽‍💼 Women-led climate and circular economy solutions
🌍 Our EAC-GIZ regional marketplace empowering women wastepreneurs

Hearing reflections on how far Baus Taka has come — and witnessing the curiosity and bold questions from the young women in the room — was incredibly affirming.

Why this matters to us: it proves that solutions built in Mombasa are globally relevant, and that women-led circular innovation belongs on the world stage.

From local action to regional ambition to global impact — the journey continues. ♻️✨
