We heard your concerns. We know what’s been missing.
So we built something new. More than talks, it’s a mission.

Not every challenge needs another workshop.
Some require time, structure, and the right people working together.

WaveMakers Mombasa returns in 2026 with a renewed focus on strengthening support for civil society organisations working with youth and addressing youth unemployment, economic exclusion, and climate challenges across the Coastal region. Building on what we have learned from previous cohorts, the programme goes deeper to support organisations as they grow and strengthen their impact.

This is a 9 month commitment, not a one off training.
Through structured learning, ongoing advisory, and peer exchange, organisations will build the systems they need to operate sustainably and better support young people over the long term.

Each participating organisation will leave with a clear Organisational Development Plan and a forward looking strategy grounded in their reality.

For civil society groups ready to invest the time and do the work, this is where that process starts.

Kenya has set a clear target of 200,000 BPO jobs by 2030. The talent is here. The connectivity is here. The policy environment is here. What's missing is a direct line to international demand, and a system to make that connection stick.

That's the gap KaziBridge is built to close.

KaziBridge is a 6-month pilot linking curated Kenyan talent to BPO opportunities with UK and European companies. Delivered by Westerwelle Startup Haus Mombasa in partnership with BPOAK, and supported by UK International Development through the UK Tech Hub Kenya, KaziBridge is part of FCDO's Digital Access Programme (DAP), which drives inclusive digital transformation, job creation, and cross-border economic growth.

The programme moves from mapping to matching through talent scoping workshops, employer showcases, virtual and in-person B2B sessions, and a flagship demo day in Mombasa, where young talent get access to notable BPO firms, in the room with UK buyers.

Kenya's Vision 2030 has a target. KaziBridge is the pathway.
