If life teaches painful realities, then one Murad Swaleh can truly testify.
For nearly two decades, Murad lived in the chains of drugs and substance abuse. Every day became a battle between hope and hopelessness. He tried countless times to quit, believing he could overcome addiction on his own, but every attempt pulled him back into the same dark world.
He cried silently.
He lost his family.
He was chased away from home like a stray dog.
Though he once had love, a family and people who cared about him, addiction slowly convinced him that the company of fellow drug users at the den mattered more than the warmth of family.
Life became unbearable.
Pushed into crime and consumed by despair, Murad reached a point where he believed life had lost all meaning. At times, he would spend days and nights in graveyards praying that Allah would take away his life and bury him without his family ever knowing.
But God had different plans.
One day, outreach workers from Reachout Centre Trust approached him with one mission to restore his life through counselling, treatment and family reintegration.
Murad resisted.
He became violent.
He rejected help.
But the Reachout team refused to give up on what many had already abandoned. Behind the pain and anger, they still saw hope in a broken soul.
Eventually, Murad agreed to begin the journey to recovery.
But the road was not easy.
He relapsed and returned to the drug dens once again.
Still, Reachout Centre Trust pursued him again patiently, persistently and with love.
Today, Murad speaks with a broad smile, full of life and gratitude.

โI thank God for giving me a second chance. I thank, love and cherish Reachout Centre Trust for giving me a fresh breath of life once again. They persistently pursued their mission on me and made me helpful to myself, my family and now the community through advocacy and as a member of the Community Advisory Board fighting drugs and substance abuse.โ
Today, Muradโs story stands as a reminder that no soul is beyond redemption, and sometimes the people society gives up on simply need someone who refuses to stop believing in them.
