Rafiki Kenia Foundation In September 2003, Petra and Hans Jongenelis, came for the first time to Kenia for a holiday.

During this holiday they met a Kenian man (Juma Bakari Seif), who invited them to visit the village of Makongeni where he lives. On their visit to this village they were shocked by the poverty and the facts that people hardly had anything to eat, not even a Hospital, In this time they decided to help the people in this village to give them a chance for a better future.
