Today, we officially welcomed our new cohort of volunteers to the Empower Me Initiative during an engaging induction meeting.

The session introduced our volunteers to the organization's mission, vision, core values, and thematic areas, providing a clear understanding of who we are and the impact we strive to create in the lives of adolescents and young people.

Beyond learning about the organization, the volunteers also shared their expectations, skills, and aspirations, while exploring meaningful ways they can contribute towards advancing our vision. Their passion, fresh ideas, and commitment reaffirm our belief that lasting change is driven by empowered individuals working together.

We are excited to embark on this journey with you and look forward to the impact we will create together.

Day 1 of the Governance and Leadership for Sustainable CSOs Training

Today marked the beginning of an insightful learning journey in the Governance and Leadership for Sustainable Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Training, supported by Kenya Community Development Foundation in partnership with impact

The day focused on strengthening the foundations of effective organizational governance. Key discussions and learning sessions covered:

Understanding governance foundations and the roles of governing bodies
Developing strategic plans that drive organizational vision and impact
Risk management approaches to enhance organizational sustainability and resilience

The sessions provided valuable insights and practical tools to help CSOs build strong governance systems, improve accountability, and position themselves for long-term growth and impact.

We look forward to more learning, networking, and sharing of experiences in the coming days as we continue strengthening our organizations for sustainable development.

We were proud to join Mtwapa Maweni Turtle Conservation, in partnership with Mariners for Action, for a beach cleanup dedicated to protecting our ocean and coastal life. Together, we worked hand in hand to remove waste from our shores and create a safer environment for marine life — especially the turtles that call our coast home.

Every piece of trash collected is a step toward healthier oceans, thriving coastal ecosystems, and a sustainable future for our communities. 🌱

Let’s continue to work together to keep our beaches clean and protect the beauty of our coastline for generations to come.

As Mtwapa YOUTH friendly Mtwapa YOUTH friendly centre and Sub County Hospital hosted the Cabinet Secretary Health, her excellence . Deborah Barasa, our C.E.O and the Mtwapa Youth Friendly Centre ' Chairman, was able to share the good work they have done, the challenges they face and the asks they have as the Youth of Mtwapa Youth Friendly Centre. It was an honor and we look forward to get more support from the The Ministry of Health to ensure we have more strength and capabilities to reach as many as possible Adolescent and Young People with Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights.
