The weekend was filled with so many blessings and excitement as we, the Kenya Parkinson's Care Network joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Parkinson’s Day.

We did it in style, walking together, raising voices, and shining a light on Parkinson’s disease.
Every step taken is a step closer to awareness, support, and hope.

Join us in spreading awareness, supporting those affected, and being part of the change.

The world becomes a better place when we choose to do the right thing.

Tomorrow morning on Swahili Pot FM 🎙️

We’re talking Parkinson’s… yes, the serious stuff, but don’t worry, we’ll keep it real, relatable, and just a little bit light 😊

As we head toward World Parkinson’s Day (11th April), the Kenya Parkinson's Care Network is bringing awareness, busting myths, and reminding everyone that Parkinson’s is not the end of the story.

Tune in, learn something new, and maybe even smile along the way — because awareness doesn’t have to be boring.

Have you ever heard of Amazingly Amazing?

Well, we had our support group meeting sessions and it was amazingly amazing! Good turnout as well.

A carer shared how by learning to space medication and food especially protein rich food i.e taking medications 30 minutes or so before or after meals changed their dad’s condition for the better.

He had severe tremors to the extent that he had to use his left hand to eat, and would use a walking stick too. But after learning about the tip and sharing with the family, making that adjustment for him has had a huge impact to the extent that the dad no longer uses a walking stick, the tremors significantly reduced and he can now use his right hand to do things like eating.

These testimonials are why we do what we do.

Thank you Dan for sharing that with us. It really lifted our spirits!

Driving change where it matters most

The Kenya Parkinson's Care Network, in partnership with the Department of Health Services - Mombasa County has successfully trained healthcare workers across all six sub-counties in Mombasa, marking a critical step in transforming Parkinson’s care at the frontline.

Parkinson’s Disease remains underdiagnosed and often misunderstood. By equipping healthcare providers with the skills for early detection, accurate diagnosis, and holistic management, we are closing critical gaps in care and restoring dignity to those affected. Inspired and Executed by the global advocacy of Colonel Guy Deacon CBE, Dicky Evans ,we are building the clinical infrastructure to match the courage of People impacted by Parkinson's Disease.

This is more than a training, it is a commitment to better outcomes, stronger health systems, and a future where no person living with Parkinson’s is left behind.

We invite partners, sponsors, and stakeholders from all sectors to join us as we prepare for our Grand Awareness Procession in April and our Kilifi County expansion in May. Your support can help expand awareness, strengthen care, and bring hope to thousands of families.

Partner with us, Support our programs, Amplify awareness.

Reach out today and be part of the movement to make Parkinson’s Disease better understood, better diagnosed, and better managed.

Today, we honor the unwavering strength of women—those living with Parkinson’s, those providing care, and those leading the charge for change. 💜

In the journey of neurological health, women’s voices are often the quietest, but their resilience is the loudest. We stand for a future where every woman has the right to an accurate diagnosis, the justice of inclusive research, and the action of a supportive community.

To all women, your courage inspires us, and your journey matters.
