In the spirit of celebrating Mother's Day, yesterday, together with other youth-led organizations we co-organized and supported a young mothers activity in Changamwe Sub-County bringing together over 55 young mothers from the five wards in Changamwe.The session ensured the young mothers had fun, accessed health talk from experts and other psychosocial support they needed. They also had open discussions on different issues they're facing that affects their mental health and how they can address them.

Yesterday we Engaged in the Multisectoral TWG meeting in Mombasa, contributing to the review of the Mombasa AYP Strategy and 5-year HIV epidemiological trends—prevalence, incidence, mortality, EMTCT, and Triple Threat indicators. Together with fellow AYP champions, we shared insights and defined a clear way forward to strengthen impact, in collaboration with the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC).

TAYO proudly participated in a two-days sensitization forum organized by the Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA) in collaboration with UNODC and the Embassy of Denmark. The forum provided a comprehensive understanding of the newly introduced PBO Regulations 2026, alongside critical discussions on terrorist financing risks within the non-profit sector. Through these sessions, our team gained practical knowledge on regulatory compliance, risk identification, and effective mitigation strategies, strengthening our capacity to implement community programs with greater integrity and accountability.

Yesterday, we joined National Council for Population and Development , National Syndemic Diseases Control Council and other key stakeholders for a County Technical Working Group on ending the Triple Threats and enhancing HIV response among young people. The meeting centered around strengthening and synergizing efforts aimed at addressing the Triple Threats among adolescents and young people in Mombasa County.

Today, we convened other Youth-Led Organizations, Youth Friendly Service Providers and representatives from the department of health Mombasa County to have a discussion on the status of Youth Friendly Services (YFS) within the county. Through the session, the participants shared their experiences on the current environment on YFS, the gaps, standard of the services and the existing challenges. A joint Action Plan to address issues that came up was developed. Thanks to NAYA Kenya for supporting the activity.
