Standards and Market Access Programme - Kenya The Standards &Market Access Project (SMAP) seeks to promote competitiveness & market access of Kenya’s animal and plant-based products at home and abroad

The Standards and Market Access Programme’s (SMAP) is a € 12.1 million EU funded programme aiming to strengthen Kenya’s ability to minimise risks related to food safety and to increase Kenya’s access to new export markets. SMAP is financed under the 10th European Development Fund and implemented by four agencies: Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS), the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and UNIDO.
