Today we joined multi-stakeholders comprising of health professionals, young people, community health promoters, policy makers and National Government Administration Officials (NGAO) to commemorate World No To***co Day in Embu County under the theme the Appeal, Exposing To***co Industry tactics on to***co and ni****ne products.

Today on Reuben FM 🎙️, Bobby and Olivia from Den of Hope Youth Group joined Aunty Tabby from Ruben FM for a powerful open conversation on to***co control in Kenya.

We unpacked:
✅ Why taxation works — Making to***co products expensive is one of the most effective ways to keep them out of the hands of young & vulnerable populations.
✅ The health crisis — Rising cases of non-communicable diseases and cardiovascular conditions linked directly to to***co smoking.
✅ Unmasking new threats— Creating awareness on emerging to***co products like ni****ne pouches & vapes, and why urgent regulation is needed before more youth get hooked.
✅ Legal gaps — We reviewed Kenya’s to***co control laws and highlighted gaps in the 2007 To***co Control Act that the industry is exploiting.

The talk ended with a strong call to action: We urge the Ministry of Health to actively support organizations at the forefront of this fight.

Together, we are working towards a ***coFreeKenya.
