There was a time when Nairobi River gave life. Today, it struggles to breathe beneath a blanket of plastic.
Every bottle, bag, and piece of discarded packaging tells a story, not just of pollution, but of the choices we've made and the future we're leaving behind.
As the world continues negotiating a strong Global Plastics Treaty, let this be our reminder that the fight against plastic pollution begins at home. The Nairobi River cannot wait for another meeting, another promise, or another year. It needs action—now.
We travelled along the river to document this crisis, not to leave you with despair, but to inspire hope, responsibility, and action. This documentary is for everyone who believes our rivers deserve better and future generations deserve to inherit clean, living waterways.
