This week, B Lab Africa, in partnership with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), convened business leaders, sustainability practitioners, ESG professionals, responsible investment experts, and certified B Corps for a meaningful conversation on the future of responsible business in South Africa and across the continent.

The Responsible Business Breakfast created a valuable space for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and connection among leaders committed to driving positive impact through business. Discussions explored the growing business case for purpose-driven practices and the role companies can play in addressing social and environmental challenges while remaining competitive and resilient.

A key theme that emerged was the increasing recognition that responsible business is central to building trust, strengthening resilience, attracting investment, and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.

We are grateful to all the facilitators, every participant who joined us and contributed their perspectives, experiences, and insights. Collaboration remains essential as we work together to build an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy across Africa.
