🎓 Official Launch of the SUNCEP SNE Retooling / Bridging Programme
Ubin-Adam Afrika Foundation is pleased to share highlights from the successful launch of the SUNCEP Teacher Training Programme, held at Rongo University.
The event marked an important milestone in advancing inclusive and Special Needs Education through structured teacher capacity building and strong institutional partnerships.
We were honoured to be joined by:
Rongo University leadership and faculty, including the Vice Chancellor / Rector, who reflected on the journey from the programme’s initial conceptual presentation four years ago to its realization today, and commended the initiative as a timely and impactful model;
Faculty and representatives from key Rongo University departments, including Education, IT, Finance, Admissions, and Administration, whose engagement underscores the University’s institutional commitment to the programme;
Our international partners Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) – Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education and ADRA Hungary, who participated virtually and delivered insightful and inspiring contributions;
School leaders and the 15 participating teachers from our partner schools, who form the inaugural SUNCEP training cohort.
The SUNCEP SNE Retooling / Bridging Programme is a three-month blended training programme beginning yesterday, jointly implemented by Rongo University and ELTE university in Hungary, and leading to joint certification. This first cohort represents a foundational step in a longer-term school development pathway focused on strengthening inclusive teaching practice within local communities.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners, educators, and stakeholders whose collaboration and shared vision made this launch possible.
