Today, we continued a journey that is steadily growing into a movement of hope.

THE ST⭐️R AWARD, powered by Bob Mwiti Foundation, was honored to present this award to Shanel Kagwiria; a resilient and determined young girl from Nchoroiboro Village, Ruiri Location, Ruiri-Rwarera Ward, Buuri Constituency, Meru County.

Shanel is currently a student at St. Mary’s Girls’ High School-Igoji. She comes from a very humble background and has been raised by a single mother facing financial and health challenges while caring for her younger siblings. Her education journey has been marked by hardship, uncertainty, and constant financial struggles.

Despite these obstacles, Shanel has chosen focus over fear, hope over hardship, and perseverance over despair. She remains committed to her education, firmly believing that her circumstances do not define her future.

This award is our way of telling Shanel: you are seen, you are valued, and you are believed in. Today, we stood with her, lifting part of the burden and affirming that her dreams matter and are worth protecting.

Today, the gospel of The ST⭐️R Award powered by Bob Mwiti Foundation, was shared at EAPC Nkando Church in Nyaki East Ward, North Imenti Constituency, Meru County.

It was a powerful reminder that hope travels fastest when it is carried by community, faith, and love. What began as a simple idea is now reaching hearts in villages, churches, and families—telling our children that their dreams matter and that someone believes in them.

The ST⭐️R Award is more than support; it is a message of possibility. When a community stands together, no dream is too small and no child is invisible.

May this light continue to shine, touching more lives and restoring hope where it’s needed most.
