One skill. One moment. One life saved.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, and knowing what to do in the first few minutes can make all the difference.

This World First Aid Day, we encourage everyone to take the first step towards becoming a lifesaver. Whether at home, at work, on the road, or within our communities, learning first aid equips us to respond with confidence, care, and compassion when it matters most.
Learn first aid. Be ready to save a life.

Let’s build a community where more people have the knowledge and skills to help in an emergency.

WHAT DOES THE RED CROSS MEAN TO YOU?

There are many ways to describe what the Red Cross means.
To some, it is hope.
To others, it is service, humanity, compassion, community, or a helping hand when it matters most.
But we want to hear it from you.
Maybe you’ve seen a Red Cross volunteer respond when someone needed help.
Maybe you’ve received first aid.
Maybe a Red Cross team was there during an emergency.
Or maybe, to you, the Red Cross simply represents someone showing up when it matters.

So today, we have just one question:
What does the Red Cross mean to you?
One word is enough. But if you have a story or a memory, we’d love to hear that too.
Let's fill the comments with the words, experiences and memories that show what humanitarian action means to our community.
