Widowhood is not a final chapter. God is a God of restoration, and He can transform pain into strength, mourning into Joy, and hopelessness into purpose. As widows encourage one another and walk in faith, they become living testimonies of God's faithfulness.

Our widows' project is more than just a program—it is a place of learning, healing, and transformation.

It is here that we build resilience, gather strength, and support one another through every season of life. Together, we learn about our rights, develop new skills, embrace economic opportunities, and encourage each other to rise above challenges.

Every meeting reminds us that no widow should walk alone. Through shared experiences, hope is restored, confidence is rebuilt, and lasting friendships are formed.

When women come together, they don't just overcome—they thrive.

Together, we continue to create a future where every widow lives with dignity, confidence, and the opportunity to reach her full potential.

One of the greatest achievements we celebrate is seeing widows become confident, informed, and empowered.

Over the years, we have witnessed remarkable growth as widows have gained a deeper understanding of their rights, challenged harmful stereotypes, and embraced opportunities for social and economic empowerment. Today, many are confidently speaking up for themselves, making informed financial decisions, starting businesses, supporting one another, and taking leadership roles within their communities.

Empowerment is more than economic independence—it is restoring dignity, building confidence, and ensuring that every widow knows her voice matters and her rights deserve to be protected.

We remain committed to walking this journey together because when widows are empowered, families are strengthened, communities thrive, and lasting change becomes possible.

Together, we are not just changing lives—we are changing the narrative around widowhood.

Empowering widows goes beyond providing support, it is about equipping them with the knowledge and skills to build financially secure and independent lives.

I was honored to speak at the Centre Will Widows Conference on economic empowerment and financial literacy, where we explored practical money management using the 50:20:20:10 budgeting rule. Through informed financial decisions, widows can strengthen their resilience, grow their incomes, and create a brighter future for themselves and their families.

At Together As One Kithirune ,we remain committed to uplifting widows through empowerment, capacity building, and sustainable economic opportunities.

From the Farm to the Future of Our Girls.

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of another round of onion farming by Together As One Kithirune

This farming initiative was more than an agricultural project. It was a purposeful investment in the future of our girls. The project was undertaken to support a priority initiative identified by widows in our community: "Pad a Girl, End Period Poverty."

Through the proceeds from onion farming, we aim to provide sanitary towels and menstrual hygiene support to vulnerable girls, ensuring that no girl misses school, loses confidence, or faces stigma because of her menstrual cycle.

This achievement demonstrates the power of sustainable community-led solutions. By empowering widows economically, we are also creating opportunities to support and uplift the next generation of girls.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the widows, volunteers, partners, and supporters who contributed to the success of this project. Together, we are proving that when communities come together, they can create lasting change.

One harvest. One purpose. Many lives transformed.

Just spoke at the Favor Widows conference on widowhood, grief, and mental health – and wow, the conversations hit deep.

We talked about real stuff. How grief shows up, why mental health matters after loss, and practical ways to keep going when life feels heavy.

Favor Widows brought amazing women together, and everyone left with new tools and new hope. Grief is tough, but you don’t have to walk it alone.

The spaces that feel like home, even when home changed

They say grief is lonely. But I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be.

There’s a kind of safety I only found with my clan the widows. No explanations needed. No “be strong” advice thrown at me. Just presence. Just love.

In that circle, I can cry without apologizing. I can laugh without guilt. I can be tired, angry, hopeful, and broken all in the same breath, and still be met with understanding.

We’ve walked a painful journey. One we never chose. One that rewrote our stories in a single day. We know what it means to lose the person you loved.

But in the middle of that pain, something else grew: a fierce urge to live with dignity.

Dignity in how we remember. Dignity in how we rise. Dignity in choosing ourselves again, piece by piece.

This is not about “moving on.” It’s about moving forward, together. Holding each other up when legs feel weak. Reminding each other that we are still worthy, still valuable, still women with names and dreams beyond the title “widow.”

If you’re reading this and you know that kind of pain… know there are spaces where you don’t have to carry it alone. Spaces built from shared tears, shared strength, and love that doesn’t flinch.

We lost our partners. But we did not lose each other. And we refuse to lose ourselves.

We are still here. Still healing. Still living with dignity.
Together As One Kithirune has created such safe spaces to walk with widows from all walks of life.

Independence 🌱

At Together As One Kithirune we believe empowerment is not just a word, it is action. Today, we are proud to see our onion project at an advanced stage, a true reflection of resilience, hard work, and purpose.

What started as a vision to economically empower widows is now taking root and flourishing. These onions represent more than a harvest, they symbolize dignity, self-reliance, and a future where widows can stand strong and provide for themselves and their families.

Through this initiative, we are not just farming we are building confidence, creating income opportunities, and restoring hope.

💚 To every widow involved: your strength is inspiring.
💚 To our supporters: thank you for walking this journey with us.

The harvest is near and so is a brighter, empowered tomorrow.

Today, I celebrate a widow who refuses to give up.
A woman who wakes up every day, even when it’s hard, and chooses to keep going.
A woman who carries pain, yet still holds on to faith.

Today, I celebrate strength. I celebrate resilience. I celebrate grace in the midst of storms.

And yes… today, I celebrate myself too.

To every widow out there, you are seen, you are strong, and your story is not over. Keep trusting God. Keep rising. 💛

We held a powerful session filled with reflection, learning, and growth with Favor Widows Group. From deepening our understanding of the two-thirds gender rule and what true inclusion means, to celebrating the impact of the WILD Leadership Training, this journey continues to inspire change.

We are proud to share that the group has successfully formed two new widows groups, extending empowerment and mentorship to more widows in the community

The first quarter of the year has been a success. With ongoing monitoring and evaluation, a successful potato harvest, increasing table banking kitty and new planting already underway, the seeds of transformation are truly growing.
We at Together As One Kithirune feel honored to be part of the growth and look forward to more impactful ventures in our community.

Together, we rise. Together, we lead. Together, we transform lives.
