LC Meru members visited Solidarity Children's Home in Kawanungu, Thimangiri - Meru on Sunday 17th August 2025 to support the YUREI (Youth Rescue & Empowerment Initiative) group.

We donated foodstuffs, sanitary towels and planted trees.

The Lions Club of Meru proudly received 100 study books from our respected District Governor Moez Manji gratefully donated to Jerusha Children’s Home.

The children were overjoyed and extended heartfelt blessings to the Governor.

In addition, LC Meru donated food items and goodies worth KSh 5,000, making the day even brighter for the children. Special thanks to Lion Laxmibhen Ramji for this thoughtful contribution.

LC Meru members led by President Lion Shaheed Iqbal met with PDG Lion Stefan Lauble of Multiple District 111 SW of Germany and his dear wife Kathrin at St. Francis Children's home, Nchiru in Meru County on Saturday 15/03/2025 to inaugurate a 200,000L high level steel water tank.

The Lions Clubs of Dreisamtal, Singen-Rodolfzell, Kaiserstuhl-Breisgau & Freiburg funded the construction of the Tank supported by LCIF through a matching grant.

The total project cost USD 48,000.

LC Meru has supported through guidance, logistics & branding materials.

During the inauguration the club donated bread, milk & sanitary towels.

Thirteen fruit trees were also planted to commemorate the event.

In attendance were the District 411A LCIF Coordinator Ln DrVinod Lalji Ramji Mbs , Club Secretary Ln Patel Harshika , Club Tresurer Ln Rasik D Patel & Members Ln Laxmi Ramji and Sohini Patel.
