With School registration done and grade six up, yesterday 28th May 2026, the KMMA School exercised their democratic rights where they had a chance to elect the school Students Leadership Council. The KMMA staff acted as electoral body upon their request. At the end the student had their President, his Deputy and other departmental Heads. We later celebrated a birthday of one of our directors who also surprised the students with some drinks and snacks. Many thanks to Friends of KMMA for this great milestone. We wouldn't be here without you. Asanteni..๐Ÿ™

From the beginning of this second-term learning session, KMMA -CAITHS School had been having arrays of activities: like for last week, there was a Head-Start tests for Grades 4,5 and 6 where students were tested in all their competency areas. At the same time, Grade 5s had the Creative Art Project activity where they were making a bowl using a paper mache (a versatile crafting technique and composite material made by mixing paper strips or pulp with an adhesive, like glue or flour paste, which dries into a hard, durable, and lightweight shape). At the same time, they had also planted of Cowpeas and kales under agriculture and nutrition. Grade 4s are also planted fruits seedlings. These projects to be ready and assessed by the end of this month for submission to the National Examination Council portal. Many thanks to Friends of KMMA for your generosity and support which is truly helping these young children reach their full potential.

On behalf of KMMA School, Caiths Kenya- Okoa Maisha Centre and the community at large, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Equity Bank Kenya - (Mbita Branch) for the generous donation of seedlings. Your support goes beyond planting trees โ€” it plants hope, knowledge, and a greener future for our learners.

These seedlings will not only beautify our environment but also serve as a living classroom, teaching our students the value of environmental stewardship and sustainability. Your kindness inspires us to nurture both the trees and the dreams of our young generation.

Thank you for investing in our future and for standing with us in shaping a healthier, greener world, which is also a mandate of UN Environment Programme

Thank you Friends of KMMA for being part of this journey...

This year, we added grade 6 (courtesy of Friends of KMMA) and this means that we had to partition one classroom to get two classes. Pre-school 1&2 during are housed in the partitioned classes and during lesions like this one, each class is keen to their teacher and determined to learn something at the end of the lesion despite noises from each class.
