Bright Future Foundation Samburu is a community based organisation in samburu west constituency samburu county whose primary focus is education. Working with other stakeholders in samburu county to ensure that illiteracy levels which are currently 66%(source: Samburu County CIDP 2018-2022) have gone down. we encourage both boys and girls to enrol in schools, ensure they remain in school and compl

ete their education safe from harmful cultural practices like FGM,early marriages, beading, school drop outs and MORANISM. Our emphasis is more on girls while recognizing that there are those who are already married with little or no education. we work on creating market linkages for women products necklaces,bangles, baskets etc. we also train them on table banking and merry go rounds among many other financial empowerment activities.

*Yesterday 26/09/2025, Kijiji Cup Foundation in Collaboration with Kenya Forest Service (KFS), Kenya Police Service, Bright Future Foundation and Environmental Justice Team*, *gave a courtesy visit to KISIMA MIXED Secondary school, where the team Donated Sanitary pads, Planted trees and gave a candid Mentorship to Our Young ones who are still chasing their career dreams*

✨ Strengthening Climate Action For Resilient Future ✨

BFFS was honored to take part in the Training of Trainers Stand-Alone CSE and Climate Change Module: “Resilient Futures: Young People, the Climate Crisis and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” held from 22nd to 25th September 2025 at Movenpick Hotel, Nairobi.

This first-of-its-kind training, developed by UNFPA in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London, brought together youth-led organizations and partners from across Kenya and the region to explore the intersection of climate change, gender, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

💡 Through the 4-day training, participants gained insights on:
✅ Understanding climate change and its impacts on health and communities.
✅ Exploring the linkages between climate change, gender, and SRHR.
✅ Strengthening youth capacity to take leadership in environmental protection.
✅ Developing next steps for rolling out the module across youth programs and platforms.

We celebrate the powerful role of young people as change agents in building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable futures.

Under our KIJIJI PADBANK PROJECT, We have managed to distribute sanitary towels Milimani mixed day school, Mwangaza Mixed Day, Loikas Day, awaiting distribution to Ledero Mixed Day School and Ngari Mixed Day school. under this program we endeavour to target 5 secondary day schools in Samburu to benefit per term. Secondary day schools being the most challenged in accessibility of such a basic commodity, For a sustainable approach we commit to support 50 girls in 5 schools for the whole year as we continue to seek for more sustainable ways of addressing the menstrual hygiene challenges in our schools and our communities. Sincere thanks to all our well wishers and partners for making this happen and giving a bright future to our young girls to focus on their dreams and aspirations.

Immense thanks to the team coordinating this and ensuring that our girls stay in school and all the words of encouragement they talk to them will not be in vain. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and we hope our little acts of kindness will go a long way in transforming the lives of these young ones to be great people in Future.
We kindly continue to seek for support to keep these dreams alive and to touch these young ones lives.

has been an eventful week for BFFS, as we continue to touch lives one partnership at a time, this week we were honoured to partner with a group of great energetic zealous and dedicated people from .rally .together Traversing the Northern landscape, From Sang'a in Laikipia-Ngarendare to Nkare Mara-Isiolo and next to Maralal-Samburu, teaching girls and women the necessary skill of making reusable sanitary towels, Menstrual hygiene being one of the biggest challenges among our indigenous people, and reusable dignity kits being a more sustainable way of approaching this challenge, we are highly humbled to partner with organisations as these that already have the expertise and the skill to address this challenge, as we always say, there can never be enough dignity kits to last women a lifetime, it's small collaborations such as these that takes us a step closer to sustainable ways of addressing challenges on menstrual hygiene.
We are positive our people's lives will be alittle better and positive due to this. Sincere thanks to the amazing team for touching the lives of our communities, one needles at a time.
