Alhamdulillah, the Mental Health Awareness Event held at Bus Park, Mandera was a success. The event brought together youth, women, elders, and community members to openly discuss mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Through conversations, guidance sessions, healing talks, and interactive activities, many people were encouraged to speak, share, and seek support without fear or shame. The message โItโs Okay Not To Be Okayโ touched many hearts and reminded the community that no one is alone in their struggles.
We witnessed unity, support, understanding, and hope as participants learned the importance of checking on one another and breaking the silence around mental health.
Special thanks to everyone who attended, supported, shared their stories, and helped make this awareness initiative meaningful. May this be the beginning of more healing conversations and stronger communities in Mandera County.
โStrong people also ask for help.โ
โHealing begins when you talk.โ
