Our blogs have now surpassed 19,000 page views and readers 🎉🎉!
What started as a simple space to share reflections on community led climate action has now attracted readers from Asia, America, Europe and Africa at large!
This tells us one thing, localized climate solutions matter in global conversations.

Happy Jamhuri Day! 🇰🇪

Today, we not only celebrate Kenya’s journey to independence, but also the everyday heroes who carry that spirit forward.
At Tulia Africa Initiative we honour Truphena Muthoni— a shining example of resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment to environmental conservation.

Her dedication reminds us that true freedom includes the freedom to restore, protect, and nurture our land for generations to come.

Hongera Truphena, and Happy Jamhuri Day to all!

Together, we grow a greener, empowered Kenya. 🌿🇰🇪

A tribute to a Remarkable Environmental Champion.

The past few days we've been processing the shocking news about the passing on of a great and avid environmentalist Dr Sonia Nzilani.
Today we join many in honoring her legacy. She believed deeply in a greener, fairer future and worked tirelessly to protect and restore degraded landscapes something,we truly walk the path.

Her legacy lives on ,in every tree planted ,every young person inspired and especially young girls, and every voice empowered to take action for our planet.
May her spirit continue to guide us as we carry forward the work she so passionately believed in.

Rest in peace Champion, rest well Daktari.🕊️

Over 6,000 reads and counting! 💚
That’s more than numbers — it’s a reflection of voices, ideas, and purpose connecting across communities.

Tulia Africa Initiative isn’t just growing; it’s grounded. Rooted in action, driven by purpose, and fuelled by young people shaping climate resilience and restoration in our drylands. 🌍

Every read reminds us that people believe in this vision — that change is already happening, right here, with us.

Because purpose doesn’t whisper. It builds, inspires, and transforms. 🌿

Hi dear friends 👋A warm Welcome to our new members 🥂

Thanks for keeping it locked here!

We've been on the ground doing what we love _ giving back to mother nature.
We also followed closely the deliberations from the Africa Climate Summit 2 in Addis .
We applaud all the participants and especially the African Development Bank Group for keeping it's promise and leading Africa in resource mobilization. 🎉

We've put down a summary reflection and our hope is to see these declarations fill in the gaps .

Today let's mirror our discussion towards the Climate Summit 2 happening next month in Ethiopia.
With great strides already made since the first Summit in Nairobi, we're following keenly on the momentum towards moving these powerful conversations to the ground _ bundled with action and especially financing locally led Climate Action.

We've explored some powerful pointers that we believe can shape and build community resilience and bolster Green development.
