The Nadunga Irrigation Project is officially underway, marking a major milestone in the restoration of sustainable agriculture and food systems in Turkana County.
We extend appreciation to Elliot Kulakow ,Managing Director of Fortium Africa, and the County Director of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr. Aaron Nanok, for their leadership and approval in supporting the implementation of this transformative initiative.
The project is a collaborative effort between EBOLIA CBO, Fortium Africa, and the County Government of Turkana, aimed at enhancing water availability for irrigation, improving food production systems, and restoring degraded land through agroecological approaches.
Rooted in the EBOLIA Vision of land rejuvenation, climate resilience, and community-led food sovereignty, the Nadunga Irrigation Project is designed to revive the ecological health of the land while strengthening long-term food security and livelihoods.
Beyond infrastructure rehabilitation, the initiative emphasizes agroecology, soil restoration, and sustainable water management as key pillars for resilient agricultural transformation in the region.
This project reflects a shared commitment to community empowerment, environmental restoration, and building a sustainable future for Nadunga and beyond.
