Did you know that when a child with Autism covers their ears they may be communicating that the noise is too loud and they're having a sensory overload therefore blocking it out for regulation?
As we celebrate let's remember as members of the inclusive table,that the curiosity of wanting to know what the child is saying,rather than perceiving it as why is the child behaving this way, will lead us to more understanding, kindness and interventions on creating safer environments. Happy world Autism Awareness Day to all the parents/caregivers, children and persons with Autism, institutions for children with Autism and all the shareholders working towards making the world a better place for every brain!
