This year's Cycle for Sables Mass ride wouldn't have been successful without the support of our partners and sponsors.
Led by Swahili Beach who hosted us for the flag off, Shimba Hills National Reserve who received us and led the community conservation education session, Marere Hassan, We Play Like This, Equity Bank Group, CM Advocates LLP, TEXAS ALARMS- Kenya, Little Things Ecology, Ogolla Emmz, Dominic oliech and Jeani.
We believe that conservation is multi-sectorial, and that working together going forward will make this campaign a success.

The women of the Cycle for Sables 2026!

This year, in partnership with We Play Like This , we sought to tell the story of the women who are at the forefront of the Cycle for Sables campaign. These women range from athletes, journalists, managers, lawyers, and conservation enthusiasts.
We made it our goal to have this year's Mass ride peloton to be women-led in order to shine a spotlight on the women who are at the forefront of this campaign.
A special shout-out to Salima Bertoglio who flagged us off, Diana Heri 💎 kym, Nduta Wa Muthoni, who were the heartbeat of the entourage, Francisca Kilonzo who joined and guided us to the finish line Shimba Hills National Reserve.

THE CYCLE FOR SABLES 2026 EDITION 🚴🏾🌍🦌

This year's edition of the Cycle for Sables felt a bit more special and intimate than all the other previous editions. And why not? This edition required all of us to dig into our last reserves in an effort to conserve Kwale County's iconic species.
What a day we had! From our arrival Swahili Beach to the challenging hills on our way to Shimba Hills National Reserve, this year's group went all out to ensure that the story of the Sable Antelope is told to the world.
Our main aim was to go beyond raising awareness and to raise funds that would be used for the purchase of camera traps for Sable Antelope monitoring. This mass ride was also used as a launch pad for August's Sable Gravel Challenge cycling race.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this initiative.

CYCLE FOR THE SABLE 2026! 🌍🦌

The Save Our Sables Campaign is gearing up for yet another unforgettable journey, and we want you to be part of the movement. Brought to you by Kwale Sports Excellence CBO in partnership with Kenya Wildlife Service, this mass ride is driving conservation through sports tourism.

The Roosevelt Sable Antelope is a rare, critically magnificent subspecies endemic to Kenya and its only remaining population lives right here in Kwale's own Shimba Hills National Reserve. In line with the National Recovery & Action Plan (2024-2033), we are cycling to raise vital awareness and funds towards its conservation.
📅Date: Saturday, 11th July 2026
📍Route: From the beautiful shores of Diani Swahili Beach to the scenic heights of Shimba Hills National Reserve.
🎯The Goal: Tap into the power of sports tourism to help stabilize, protect, and double the Sable population!

We have moved the Cycle For Sables Mass Ride to the 11th of July 2026. This decision has been influenced by the overwhelming eagerness from the cycling and conservation enthusiasts to be part of this year's Mass Ride; we have made the decision to postpone this event from the initial 13th June 2026 date.

Working with and supported by , kenyawildlifeservice, , Base Titanium, Kwale County Government, .eq , , , .villas, , , & , we will be taking the giant leap into a sustainable future for the only remaining population of Sable Antelope in Kenya.

DIANA HERI: AMATEUR CYCLIST, SPORTS NUTRITIONIST, SABLE ANTELOPE CONSERVATION CHAMPION & YOUR LEAD FOR THE 2026 EDITION OF THE CYCLE FOR SABLES MASS RIDE.

For this year's edition of the Cycle for Sables Mass Ride, will be leading cycling and conservation enthusiasts to once again reiterate the need to protect and conserve Kwale County's iconic species; the majestic Sable Antelope.

In partnership with and supported by , we are angling to tell the story of how women in sports are leading the conservation crusade for the Sable Antelope in Kwale County, Kenya.

Since 2024, Diana has been influenced by under the Twalenga Women in Sports mentorship program and Coach Membership to understand how sports can be used for social good.
Together with , these TWALENGA mentees will be at the forefront of all the activities under this year's Cycle for Sables calendar.

Had the honour of meeting the Consulate General of the Republic of Uganda 🇺🇬🇺🇬, Amb. Herbert Kiguli at the offices in Nyali Mombasa.
This meeting was centered around our upcoming Cycle for Sables activities, and the potential to collaborate under the Uganda-Kenyan Coast tourism partnership.
Our entourage led by the Group CEO .eq Mr. Barry Clemens explained the significance of our initiative and the potential that lies ahead if policy reform & out-the-box initiatives are incorporated into the current tourism landscape.
