Today, 19/8/2026,KWEPS in partnership with CONVO Africa had the opportunity to train a group of teens (13-19)years on digital security—and it was an incredibly engaging session!

We explored practical ways to stay safe online, from creating strong passwords and protecting personal information to recognizing scams, phishing attempts, and suspicious links. We also talked about the importance of privacy, responsible social media use, and thinking before sharing.

What stood out most was their curiosity and willingness to learn. In a digital world where young people spend so much of their time online, equipping them with the right knowledge and habits is more important than ever.

Digital safety is not just about technology—it’s about making smart choices. 🔐💻

Proud to have played a small part in helping the next generation become more confident and security-conscious digital citizens.

Today 10/7/2026, KWEPS Executive Director together with Chairperson to the Board of management joined other Women Rights Organizations from across Kirinyaga county(Kenya )for a community engagement Forum.

The organization was privileged to give a presentation on issues affecting structurally excluded groups in the society and in particular women with disability.The strategies WROs uses to address these challenges and the opportunities that can be harnessed to promote their empowerment and inclusion.

These County budget facilitators from 14 counties helps, guide, coordinate, and support the county budgeting process to ensure it is transparent, participatory, and effective. They help different stakeholders like government officials, community members, and organizations to understand and contribute to how public funds are planned and used.

This year(2025),the team was hosted by facilitator Ruth Muthoni in Kirinyaga county to review progress and plan for the next phase.

KWEPS is centred on serving the needs and interests of the community as a whole,regardless of political beliefs or affiliations.Maintaining a non-partisan position allows the organization to remain inclusive, trustworthy and accessible to all community members.This status strengthens the organization's credibility,fosters broad collaboration with diverse stakeholders,and reinforces it's commitment to unity,equity and community wellbeing.

As a non-partisan entity, KWEPS is all set to embark on Voter Education in Kirinyaga county-Kenya ahead of the 2027 general elections in partnership with the IEBC.
