Throughout history, social movements have been powerful catalysts for change, challenging injustice, influencing public policy, and amplifying the voices of those often left unheard.
In Kenya, the 2024 Gen Z-led protests demonstrated the transformative power of organized citizen action, sending a clear message that young people are not merely spectators in governance they are active agents of change capable of shaping national conversations and influencing government priorities.
We had the privilege to participate in a Movement Building Training Workshop hosted by Ni Sisi. The training provided valuable insights on organizing, mobilization, collective action, and sustaining citizen-led movements for social impact.
As we advance our youth advocacy agenda, these lessons will be instrumental in building a stronger, more organized, and impactful youth movement that champions accountability, inclusive development, and meaningful youth participation.
The future belongs to organized citizens. The future belongs to movements. ✊🏾
