We hosted 35 Geography students from Humboldt University of Berlin during a community site visit led by Prof. Thenya and Prof. John. The visit offered hands-on learning and meaningful interaction with the community, linking classroom theory to real-world environmental and geographical practice.

🌍 World Wetlands Day Webinar – Kenya Edition 🌿

We are proud to share that our Founder Director, Mr. Maurice Wanjala, will be among the panelists at the World Wetlands Day Webinar under the theme:
“Unpacking the connections between wetlands, culture and traditional knowledge systems in Kenya.”
Mr. Wanjala is a key resource person in matters of culture and traditional ecological knowledge on wetlands, bringing valuable community-based perspectives on how indigenous practices contribute to wetland conservation and sustainable use.
His participation highlights the importance of integrating local knowledge and cultural heritage into modern conservation approaches for the protection of Kenya’s wetlands.
