So sad.

You don’t need alcohol to be confident. You don’t need drugs to belong. You don’t need substances to escape - you need clarity to move forward. Real strength… is having a sober mind.

SCAPAADA joins the world in commemorating this year’s World AIDS Day.

Today, we stand in solidarity with all those affected by HIV/AIDS, reaffirming our commitment to fight stigma, promote resilience, and support the mental well-being of individuals and families impacted. We believe that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and access to the care they need. Together, we can build a community where no one suffers in silence and where hope, understanding, and support lead the way.

On this first day of the 16 Days of Activism, SCAPAADA joins other organizations in boldly calling out digital violence against women and girls. Online harassment, cyberbullying, and harmful attacks are not just violations of dignity-they deeply affect mental health, causing fear, anxiety, and isolation. We stand together to demand safer digital spaces where women and girls can thrive without violence.

Our able Founder and CEO, Walter Masangila, has been awarded after successfully completing a Trauma Healing Course offered by the Trauma Healing Institute in partnership with the Bible Society of Kenya.
This achievement comes at a crucial time, as trauma, mental health struggles, and emotional wounds remain deeply rooted challenges in our communities. At SCAPAADA, this milestone strengthens our commitment to delivering impactful mental health support, especially for young people facing alcoholism, drug abuse, and daily life pressures.
It reminds us that to serve effectively, we must continuously equip ourselves with the right skills, deepen our understanding, and allow passion to guide our work. Together, we continue building healthier, stronger, and more resilient communities.

This year, our able Founder & CEO, Walter Masangila, along with the dedicated SCAPAADA team, had the incredible opportunity to be guest speakers at Nabunga Secondary School.
We held a powerful and open discussion with the students about alcoholism, drug abuse, and the real-life challenges young people face every day -challenges such as:
✨ Peer pressure.
✨ Broken or unstable families.
✨ Unemployment and poverty.
✨ Social media influence.
✨ Academic stress and the fear of failure.
These struggles often lead to mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem - making many feel alone and misunderstood.
But our message to them was clear and full of hope…
💚 Your life has purpose.
💚 You are stronger than your challenges.
💚 Faith and hope can carry you through any storm.
We encouraged them to make positive choices, seek help when they feel overwhelmed, and believe that their brighter future is still ahead.
SCAPAADA remains committed to walking with our young people - creating awareness, offering support, and building a healthier community free from addiction. 🕊
