On December 6, 2024, Million Reasons to Smile partnered with the Miral Foundation to celebrate the International Day for Persons with Disabilities at Kolunga Primary School in Kisumu County.
The event was themed "Inclusive Community with ACCESSIBILITY RIGHTS OF PWD," focusing on creating an accessible and inclusive environment for all.
The event addressed various aspects of accessibility, from mobility and physical accessibility to communication, information, and services.
Under the slogan "Easy Path Makes Equal Path," the program aimed to raise awareness and promote the rights of persons with disabilities (PWD).
Participants engaged in discussions and activities highlighting the importance of accessible infrastructure and inclusive policies. The event underscored the necessity of removing barriers to ensure equal opportunities for PWD in all aspects of life.
